Beloved bull fighter and local hero, Donny Martin, was fatally injured Sunday, June 15, when trying to stop a loose bull from injuring others. The bull struck Donny full force, resulting in critical head injuries. Donny was life-flighted to Reno, Nevada, and sadly did not survive his injuries.

This gallery is dedicated to the memory of a man who lived his life to the fullest and inspired us to give and do a little more in our lives.

Donny has saved many a bull rider's life and his all out (and often entertaining) valiant efforts won him several titles as CCPRA's Bull Fighting Champion of the Year. It is now our turn to bring comfort and aid to Donny's family in their time of grief. Donny is a man to be celebrated!

Our hearts go out to the Martin family as well as the bull riding kids that Donny loved and protected. We know you hurt deeply at the loss of your "big brother" Donny.
